We have 8 showrooms situated at Airside near Swords, a further 4 at Navan Road and our Bray dealership. Local management are supported by a central management function based at Airside.

As a result of our ongoing expansion and business growth, we are seeking to appoint a positive and motivated individual to join our Accounts team at Airside.

About the role

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining up to date and accurate accounting records for one of our busy dealerships, producing monthly accounts on our Dealer Management System. Working with a team of similarly qualified individuals the role provides for flexibility and group working where support is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all related accounting functions required to maintain the nominal ledger in compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable processes including entering daily purchase invoices and regular payment runs.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monthly accruals and nominal ledger reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve any invoice discrepancies.
  • Review debtors reports and follow up with customers regarding overdue balances.
  • Coordinate month-end and closing activities to ensure timely reporting as well as assist with yearly audit.
  • Provide backup support to Payroll function.
  • Fixed asset tracking and reconciliations including monthly depreciation adjustments.
  • Coordinate with staff from all departments to ensure compliance with accounting procedures.

Qualifications, Skills & Work Experience:

  • Recognised accounting qualification or participation in a training course to achieve qualification.
  • Experience working within a busy Accounts function.
  • Working knowledge of an accounts software package such as Sage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and competence in the use of Excel
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Business awareness and commercial focus.
  • Technical competence.
  • Integrity and approachability.
