Bright Motor Group is currently recruiting a Vehicle Progressor at our Navan Road dealership. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, customer-focused professional to build a rewarding career with one of Ireland’s leading motor retailer groups.
As a Bright Vehicle Progressor, you will be responsible for overseeing the progress of new and used vehicles from initial acquisition to ultimate sale. This is a key role in ensuring a highly efficient, timely and cost-effective vehicle management and delivery process and excellent customer experience both on the used car website and physically on the premises.
Role responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of all new and used vehicles coming on site and into stock.
- Receive all used vehicles from sales, ensuring that relevant delivery documentation is completed to a high standard and all relevant paperwork is with the vehicle before appraisal.
- Ensuring full appraisal of all used vehicles as soon as they are in stock using our internal systems.
- Manage any used vehicles that need to go off site for bodywork, taking full responsibility for repair and return in a timely manner for pricing and resale.
- Oversee the scheduling of used cars preparation with service and valeting to ensure all used vehicles are processed within required timeframes and ready for photos/video.
- Ensure that all used vehicles meet the “Bright as new” specification and standard post service/valeting.
- Manage a roster of supporting staff to transport used vehicles to and from the turntable.
- Have oversight of all used vehicles in stock and waiting photos/videos and manage the schedule for going to the turntable in a timely, efficient manner.
- Responsibility for managing the process of taking photos/videos on the Bright turntable for all used cars within the agreed timeframe for fast turnaround.
- Ensure all photos/videos are given to reception who will have responsibility for uploading photos and videos to DMS and 3rd party websites.
- Ensure forecourt displays of new and used vehicles are correctly maintained to the Bright standard - cleaned with correct visual displays and correctly positioned in line with brand standards.
- Manage the arrival of all new vehicles from transport companies, ensuring all relevant delivery documentation and spare keys are present and there is no damage. You will need to follow up with other departments if any documentation is missing or unclear.
- Responsibility for booking in all new stock and ensuring PDIs are completed in a timely manner following arrival on site.
- Support the sales team by ensuring vehicles are fully prepared and ready for customer handovers and deliveries on agreed dates.
- Monitoring and implementing key security and compliance procedures.
- Any additional ad-hoc duties that may be asked of management to help with delivery of vehicles.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Valid full driving license (essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong understanding of vehicle preparation standards.

- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in the motor industry, ideally within used vehicle operations, stock control or vehicle logistics.
- Proven experience managing stock intake, appraisal, and preparation of new and used vehicles in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience coordinating with service, bodyshop, valeting, and sales teams to meet stock turnaround targets.
- Be digital savvy with experience using dealer management systems (DMS) and other digital uploader tools.
- Demonstrated experience managing vehicle preparation standards, including NCT, servicing, PDIs, and repairs.
- Experience overseeing vehicle photography and online listings, ensuring high-quality presentation and timely upload.
- Prior experience supervising or coordinating support staff or drivers.
- Strong understanding of documentation processes within a dealership environment.
