Bright Motor Group is currently recruiting a Payroll Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll services while supporting a broad range of HR administration and systems activities.
This role combines payroll expertise with HR operational support, including payroll processing, employee lifecycle administration, attendance management, reporting, and employee support. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation, excellent analytical and organisational skills, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Role responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a number of entities
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, salaries, overtime, statutory payments, and deductions
- Maintain payroll records including new hires, leavers, and employee changes
- Ensure full compliance with Irish Revenue requirements (PAYE Modernisation)
- Prepare and submit payroll filings and statutory returns
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
- Reconcile payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and support audit requirements
- Carrying out all processes related to the Attendance System
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of company pension and autoenrollment pension payments
- Maintenance and Management of Time & Attendance system
- Supporting the Head of HR, as required
- Understanding GDPR, compliance, controls, and risk requirements to ensure adherence
- Support HR Payroll Operations and Systems projects
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven payroll/accounting experience working on in-house payroll, with multiple payroll entities is a distinct advantage
- Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and PAYE Modernisation
- IPASS qualification (essential or actively working towards completion)
- Experience with payroll software (e.g. Sage Payroll or similar)
- Strong Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
- Experience of working with Time and Attendance systems an advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and self-motivation
- Understanding of tax and payroll issues is an advantage
- Desire to develop and grow current skill levels
- Previous experience of delivering technical projects would be beneficial
- Maintain confidentiality, and provide credible solutions to challenges
