Bright Motor Group is currently recruiting a LCV (Commercial Vehicle) Specialist to represent the Peugeot & Opel brands at our Navan Road dealership. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, customer-focused professional to build a rewarding career with one of Ireland’s leading motor retailer groups.
The Commercial Vehicle Specialist will be responsible for driving sustained growth of Peugeot and Opel commercial vehicle sales, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized businesses. This role requires a true specialist, someone who lives and breathes vans, conversions, fit-outs, finance solutions, and the full commercial vehicle ecosystem.
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver and exceed monthly and annual commercial vehicle sales targets across Peugeot and Opel.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of SME prospects through proactive outreach and networking.
- Consistently implement the Bright sales process from opportunity management and video presentation to optimise appointments, test drives, and follow-ups, ensuring all KPIs are met as defined by the company.
- Accurately record all prospect and customer details, sales activities, and documentation in the CRM system in a timely and consistent manner that comply with all GDPR requirements.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets for outbound prospecting calls, leveraging existing and other sources to drive sales performance.
- Manage used LCV stock effectively, ensuring timely preparation, online visibility, and compliance with aged stock policies.
- Become the in-house authority on all Peugeot and Opel LCV products, including model range, specifications, payloads, towing, dimensions, and use-case suitability.
- Liaise with approved fitters and bodybuilders to manage timelines, specifications, and quality.
- Ensure all fitments are compliant with brand standards, safety regulations, and warranty requirements.
- Present tailored finance packages including HP, lease, and contract hire in conjunction with the on-site business manager.
- Work closely with finance partners and the business manager to structure competitive SME solutions.
- Understand VAT, BIK, write-down allowances, and other commercial tax considerations to support customer decision-making.
- Build long-term relationships with SME owners, fleet managers, tradespeople, and local businesses through proactive outbound visits/calls.
- Conduct on-site visits to understand customer operations and identify opportunities.
- Deliver excellence in customer satisfaction throughout the sales journey.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and product changes to maintain a competitive edge.
- Identify emerging opportunities in sectors such as construction, logistics, trades, and last-mile delivery.
- Provide regular feedback to management on market trends and customer needs.
- Work closely with marketing to develop targeted SME campaigns and local business events.
- Partner with aftersales to ensure seamless handover, fitment coordination, and customer retention.
- Support our fleet manager in fleet tenders and larger business opportunities where required.
- Uphold manufacturer brand standards and liaise with Peugeot and Opel Ireland on showroom POS and marketing materials.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven track record in commercial vehicle sales or a related B2B automotive role.
- Deep understanding of LCV products, conversions, and SME operational needs.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to explain and structure finance solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised with strong pipeline management and CRM discipline.
- Self-starter with a proactive, hunter-mindset. Desirable.
- Experience with Stellantis brands or multi-brand commercial vehicles preferrable.
- Knowledge of electric LCVs and charging infrastructure.
- Existing network within SME sectors.
- Certified and qualified to sell consumer and business finance solutions.
- Proficient in Dealer Management Systems and CRM tools.
Full, clean driving licence.
