The styling of its front end has had a facelift to become more vertical, reinforcing its character.

It introduces a new design language in which curves give way to more structured lines.

“V” LED LIGHT SIGNATURE ON THE FRONT

New Citroën identity

The slim, chiselled V-shaped LED light signiture is given a 3D effect through "piano keys". These daytime running lights give the car a deep, technological look.

In addition, the Vision LED headlamps are more discreet, with a dark treatment. They amplify the visual continuity with the glossy black grille and reinforce the perception of robustness.

Several stylistic elements on the side enhance the elegance and modernity of New Citroën C5 Aircross:

• New 18" PULSAR alloy wheels with two-tone graphic elements

Consistent with the front of the vehicle, New Citroën C5 Aircross has a new three-dimensional LED light signature at the rear.

The lamp unit is fitted with structured tinted glass echoing the shape of the three LED modules..

As on the front end, the subtle piano key design reinforces the deep 3D effect of the light signature..

Zero Emissions​

• In electric mode, C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid offers you silent, vibration-free and environmentally friendly driving with 0g/km Co2 emissions. It's 13.2kW battery is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000km for 70% of it's charging capacity.
• In town, C5 Aircross Hybrid 136 can make up to 50% of journeys in 100% electric with zero emissions and no vibrations. Thanks to the benefits of electric driving, well-being on board is increased during daily journeys around town or on the road.​

​100% Efficient Drive​

• C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid is the combination of a 180hp PureTech engine with the EAT8 automatic gearbox and an 81.2kW (110hp) electric motor for a combined power of 225hp. It has a torque of 360Nm available instantly which ensures permanent comfort of use by guaranteeing dynamic recovery at any time.
• HYBRID 48V technology optimises the performance and consumption of C5 Aircross, allowing an average fuel saving of 1 liter/100km (ie. 15%) compared to the PureTech 130 EAT8 petrol engine. With improved efficiency in urban driving conditions which allows an average fuel saving of almost 30%.​

Easy Charging

• The solutions for charging C5 Aircross Hybrid are simple, practical and numerous. The fastest is the Wall Box. With the optional mode 3 cable, it allows charging from 0 to 100% in less than 2 hours with the 7.4kW on-board charger. For optimal use, it is recommended to charge the C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid every day.
• With the new Hybrid 136 engine, free yourself from the hassle of charging thanks to the battery which regenerates automatically when the car decelerates.

E-COMFORT OF THE PLUG-IN HYBRID VERSION

Adapted to all uses, New Citroën C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid combines all the advantages of 100% electric driving, for daily journeys of up to 55 km (WLTP cycle) thanks to its 81.2 kW motor, with the range provided by its PureTech 180 Stop & Start Euro 6.3 petrol engine for longer journeys.

The ë-EAT8 electrified 8-speed automatic gearbox optimises gear shifts for an even smoother and pleasurable drive.

It features two regenerative braking modes: Drive (position D) and Brake (position B). The latter, more dynamic, mode boosts the recovery of energy available when braking and decelerating.

​Peace of mind above all: without charging constraints, the electrical experience is transparent and fluid. Thanks to this HYBRID 48V technology, mixed or 100% electric driving times without emissions are optimised, for greater driving comfort and for reduced consumption and Co2 emissions.

​THREE DRIVING MODES

Selector ideally located on the central console

The driving mode selector is located on the central console of New Citroën C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid. You have the choice between 3 modes:

• Electric: The car operates in 100% electric mode up to 135 km/h, bringing you complete silence and an exceptionally smooth drive. Range in this mode totals up to 55 km (WLTP cycle).
• Hybrid: The vehicle manages the electric motor and petrol engine automatically for optimum efficiency.
• Sport: Performance is optimised by the electric motor, which boosts the petrol engine for combined power of 225 hp and combined torque of 360 Nm.

​CHARGING METHOD

Simple and practical

New Citroën C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid is extremely simple to charge: The charging flap, located to the rear left of the car, includes an LED indicator to track the charging process, which can also be viewed remotely on the My Citroën app. Charging can be programmed from the touchscreen or the My Citroën app, to take advantage of off-peak rates, for example. The charging cables are stored in a dedicated space under the boot floor.
